Understand geometric and dimensional requirements of parts. Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs manually or via CAM software. Input positioning, cutting, interpolation, threading, and other commands. Simulate machining operations in CAM software to identify collisions and potential errors. Verify appropriate materials, surface finishes, and technical conditions for machining. Transfer programs to CNC machines. Assemble tools, zero the machine, configure offsets, and verify references. Monitor initial production to validate the CNC program. Perform fine-tuning of parameters to ensure dimensional quality of parts. Update and organize CNC program files in the company’s internal system. Record modification histories and maintain backups. Prepare process sheets, tool lists, and operating instructions.
