Job Summary:
Law Intern to work in the area of Legal Protection, supporting the team with tasks related to documentation, migration regularization, and promotion of Human Rights.

Description:
* Currently enrolled in a Law program.
* Basic knowledge of migration and refugee issues.
* Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team to uphold Human Rights.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
* Strong written communication skills.
* Flexibility, creativity, assertiveness, and proactivity.
* Experience working with migrants and refugees is an advantage.
* Fluency in Spanish/English (comprehension, writing, and speaking) is an advantage.
* Work in the area of Legal Protection and support the team during screening, at informational sessions held at the SJMR office, as well as in receiving and referring requests.
* Support the Legal Protection team with documentation-related tasks and migration regularization processes (e.g., applications for refugee status recognition and residence permits, among others), as well as providing legal guidance;
* Support external activities promoting and guaranteeing access to rights;
* Assist in registering assisted individuals in SJMR’s internal database and partner platforms.
* Support the planning and implementation of the itinerant SJMR program.
