Job Summary: A professional to produce models and molds in wood and PU resin, operating conventional machines and interpreting mechanical drawings with high precision and attention to detail. Reading and interpretation of mechanical drawings **Competencies** * Produce models in various materials according to customer specifications, adhering to technical standards and quality, safety, and sustainability requirements. * Perform mold modeling in wood or PU resin using manual tools and/or machines for casting, manufacturing, machining, and other related applications. * Carry out machining and adjustments manually and using machines, including benchwork activities. * Operate conventional machines (lathe and milling machine), performing adjustments with manual files and rotary files. * Perform operations such as cleaning, polishing, grinding, roughing, boring, milling, turning, planing, threading, bending of materials, drilling, tool sharpening, sawing, carving, stamping, engraving, and assembly of parts according to technical requirements. * Read and interpret mechanical drawings, performing necessary calculations for part fabrication and adjustment. * Apply knowledge of materials, hardness, standardization, and proper use of industrial tools and equipment. * Occasionally develop models, fixtures, and auxiliary tools. * Work with a high level of precision, following internal instructions and guidance from the department supervisor. **Requirements and Experience** * **Education:** Toolmaking course or related fields (e.g., Milling Machine Operator, Lathe Operator, or Mechanical Fitter). * **Experience:** * Proven experience in modeling with wood and PU resin (mandatory). * Desired experience in constructing fixtures, injection molds, and stamping tools. * Operation of conventional lathes and milling machines. * Performing adjustments with manual files and rotary files. * Reading and interpretation of mechanical drawings. * Use of various measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.). * **Preference:** Professionals with experience in industrial automation environments. **Behavioral Competencies** * Attention to detail and high precision. * Organization and strict adherence to deadlines. * Teamwork and effective communication. * Proactivity in analyzing and solving problems. **Differentiators** * Knowledge of CAD/CAM software. * Experience with molds for ultrasonic applications or those oriented toward industrial automation applications.
