Assistance with administrative tasks and various activities in research and extension. A professional responsible for supporting veterinarians in clinics and hospitals, ensuring hygiene, organization, preparation of materials, animal restraint, wound dressings, and basic animal care—prioritizing animal welfare without performing diagnoses or prescribing treatments. * Procedure support: Prepares animals, materials, and instruments for consultations, surgeries, and imaging or laboratory tests. * Animal care: Administers medications (oral or topical), provides feeding, and delivers care to hospitalized animals as well as those in pre- and post-operative stages. * Cleaning; maintenance and organization: Maintains a clean and organized work environment, sterilizes instruments, packages surgical materials, disinfects areas accessible to animals; monitors inventory levels and requests replenishment from the stock clerk when necessary. * Administrative tasks: May assist with registration forms, document organization, and receipt of patient records and overdue payments during night shifts when the receptionist is unavailable. * Other duties: Assists in collecting samples for testing, supports the veterinarian during consultations, vaccinations, and imaging examinations, may participate in teaching, research, and extension activities. Accompanies the company employee responsible for collecting waste, infectious waste, and animal carcasses. * And other duties as assigned by management.
