It has 460 beds—including 80 ICU beds—and 16 operating rooms. HMDCC specializes in urgent and emergency clinical, surgical, and stroke care, with referrals and admissions regulated by the Belo Horizonte Municipal Health Department’s Central Admission Unit. We are also a reference center for the SUS-BH network and the state of Minas Gerais in high-complexity care across the following specialties: internal medicine, orthopedics, general surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, neurology, and urology.
