About the opportunity Hipe is looking for a Mid-level Web Developer focused on Laravel PHP to work on the development and evolution of systems targeting the retail sector. We want someone who enjoys working in a team, values best practices, and is always willing to create robust, scalable, and high-impact solutions. Responsibilities * Develop, maintain, and evolve web systems using Laravel PHP. * Build and consume RESTful APIs, processing queues, and integrations with external services. * Also work on the front-end using modern JavaScript frameworks (SPA). * Ensure code quality using Git (version control), testing, and code review. * Actively participate in the entire software development lifecycle: analysis, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. * Collaborate with the team in defining architecture, coding standards, and best practices. * Work closely with designers, front-end and back-end developers in a collaborative and agile environment. Tech Stack and Technologies You’ll Use * Backend: PHP (8+) / Laravel (12+) * Databases: PostgreSQL / MySQL * Frontend: JavaScript frameworks (SPA) * Tools: Composer, Artisan * Version Control: Git (GitFlow, Pull Requests, Code Review) * Execution: SSR, processing queues (queue:work), migrations, and seeders Requirements * Solid experience with Laravel PHP. * Strong knowledge of modern PHP (>=8). * Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL and/or MySQL). * Experience with code versioning using Git. * Knowledge of migration routines, seeders, and processing queues. * Good communication skills and ability to work in a team. Nice-to-Haves * Experience developing solutions for the retail sector. * Knowledge of scalable architectures, SSR, and integration with external services. * Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD. * Experience with automated testing (PHPUnit, Pest). * Knowledge of Vue.js, React, or Angular. * Knowledge of Inertia.js or another SPA tool.
