Multidisciplinary and collaborative environment The **FITec** is a private, non-profit Institute of Science and Technology (ICT), with distributed presence in the following locations: Recife, Campinas, São José dos Campos, Belo Horizonte, and Manaus. Its unit located in Belo Horizonte, also known as **FITec\-BH**, has recognized competencies by Embrapii in Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, and IoT Connectivity, and is launching an innovative project: the development of an **interactive virtual reality laboratory** for demonstrating its project portfolio. This is an innovative research project focused on creating its project portfolio in the Metaverse, exploring immersive technologies to present solutions in an innovative and interactive way. We are seeking collaborators residing in Minas Gerais who wish to work in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment, contributing to knowledge construction and the evolutionary development of the project. Let’s together share moments of professional growth and fun. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Participate in the conception and development of an interactive virtual reality laboratory for demonstrating the project portfolio developed by the FITec\-BH unit **Requirements and Qualifications** **Requirements and Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in **Product Design**, **Computer Engineering**, **Computer Science**, **Digital Design**, **3D Animation**, **Game Development**, **Virtual and Augmented Reality**, or related fields, with a minimum of four (4) years’ proven experience in projects within these areas; * Or hold a Master’s degree, or be a PhD candidate (in the latter case, enrolled at an institution located in the state of Minas Gerais) in fields such as **Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and the Metaverse**. **Technical Knowledge and Requirements:** * **3D Modeling and Animation**: proficiency in software such as Blender, Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, or equivalents, for creating three-dimensional models of equipment and products. * **AR/VR SDKs and Platforms**: hands-on experience with **Unity3D**, **Unreal Engine**, and their respective development kits (Oculus SDK, OpenXR). * **System Integration**: ability to structure application sequencing, define interactive content, and integrate with multiplayer servers, APIs, and user devices (VR headsets, AR headsets, haptic controllers, among others). * **Programming Knowledge**: basic-to-intermediate proficiency in languages such as C\#, C\+\+ or Python for customization and integration of immersive environments. * **Rendering and Optimization Experience**: real-time rendering techniques, texturing, lighting, and use of graphics engines optimized for AR/VR. * **Collaboration and Version Control Tools**: proficiency in tools such as Git/GitHub, Jira, or similar for project management and version control. **Preferred Qualifications:** * **Metaverse**: hands-on experience developing and publishing experiences on Metaverse platforms (Horizon Worlds, Decentraland, Roblox, Spatial.io, or similar), with understanding of their technical specifics and interaction models. * Experience in UX/UI applied to immersive environments. * Knowledge of **Metaverse interoperability** (custom avatars). * Experience in collaborative projects with multidisciplinary teams (designers, engineers, developers, and user experience specialists). **Additional Information** * Candidates must reside in cities within the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte (MG) * **Fellowship Value:** R$ 3\.400,00 (FAPEMIG BDCTI Fellowship – Level II) * **Working Hours:** 8:00\-12:00 – 13:00\-17:24 * **Work Modality:** On-site (Belo Horizonte/MG). Remote work is not possible. * Candidates **must not hold any active employment relationship** with other institutions or companies.
