




Job Summary: Chemical Engineer to support Process Engineering activities, including technical advisory services, inspections, maintenance, analysis of failures and operational risks, and development of engineering projects and technical documentation. Analysis of operational failures and risks **Description:** Supporting Process Engineering requirements for Fertilizer and Chemical Gas Units **Responsibilities:** Providing technical advisory services, including performance testing of equipment; * Equipment integrity inspection and report preparation; * Monitoring, participating in, and executing maintenance and inspection activities on equipment, facilities, and systems; project, construction, and installation services; technical feasibility studies for projects; as well as participating in risk assessments for new project implementation; * Developing maintenance and inspection plans and procedures; * Preparing technical and economic feasibility studies for process improvements at Fertilizer assets; * Diagnosing operational routines; * Preparing operational risk analyses; * Conducting failure and risk analyses using applicable methodologies (HAZOP/Fault Tree/Ishikawa); * Preparing technical specifications for procurement of equipment related to process improvement, as well as preparing lists of strategic spare parts; * Providing technical support during commissioning supervision and performance testing of new equipment at Fertilizer plants; * Monitoring basic and detailed engineering projects for improvements and expansions; * Preparing technical communications containing recommendations and alerts regarding recurring failure patterns or mechanical failure scopes; * Witnessing equipment tests and trials involving process variables; * Issuing technical opinions on tests and trials related to process variables and inputs; * Supervising preventive maintenance services on mechanical equipment, assembly/disassembly and preparation of metallic and non-metallic piping; disassembly, repair, and reassembly of steam turbine and boiler components; * Supervising preventive and corrective maintenance of water and gas systems; * Supervising preventive and corrective maintenance of process systems; * Completing risk analyses, work notes, and maintenance orders with necessary data for closure; Generating engineering solutions within one’s area of expertise, developing projects, and issuing required technical documentation. * Conducting studies and calculations, e.g., load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination and selectivity, HAZOP, Risk Analysis, flexibility, dynamic analysis, complex finite element calculations, foundation design, metallic structures, concrete structures, matrix analysis. * Issuing and/or reviewing all technical documentation required for basic or detailed engineering projects: updating/reviewing existing documentation, issuing new documents, developing ergonomic projects, editing in E3D, editing in COMOS Production, issuing all documents for material and equipment procurement, editing in CAD and process simulation software, performing complex flexibility analyses, conducting site visits for technical solution alignment, developing appropriate technical solutions for engineering problems, generating material specifications, analyzing technical proposals, issuing technical opinions for procurement. * Verifying and/or approving engineering solutions, projects, and technical documentation generated within one’s area of expertise. * Responding to technical inquiries and interfacing with other disciplines and project stakeholders. * Verifying project quality and compliance. * Verifying and/or approving engineering solutions, projects, and technical documentation generated within one’s area of expertise. Acting as discipline leader, performing technical coordination and interfacing with other disciplines and project stakeholders. An ART (Technical Responsibility Record) must be filed for technical responsibility related to the described services, where applicable. **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, registered with CREA **Work Experience:** Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in related activities. Desirable: At least 2 years of experience in operational units for gas processing, refineries, fertilizer plants, and/or petrochemical facilities. **Mandatory Knowledge:** Proficiency in the following tools: SAP, DWG, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. **Salary:** R$ 12.944,33 **Benefits:** Meal allowance, dental plan, health insurance extended to spouse and children up to age 21 (only co-payment deducted), life insurance **Work Mode:** Remote work (Home Office), with occasional visits to factories (Salvador/BA). **Working Hours:** 44 hours per week
