Description

Job Summary: An Automotive Engineering professional for model assembly and vibration and noise (NVH) analysis, with a focus on vehicle safety and CAE experience. Key Highlights: 1. Work in automotive engineering with a focus on NVH and vehicle safety. 2. Assembly of models and complex vibration and noise analyses. 3. Opportunity at a leading Spanish multinational in automotive engineering. **Company Description** A Spanish multinational present in over 20 countries, specializing in automotive engineering services. Operating in Brazil for over 10 years, it employs approximately 250 professionals nationwide, delivering product development services to OEMs and automotive component suppliers. **Job Description** Model Assembly: * Responsible for assembling various vehicle subsystems, ranging from simple systems to highly complex ones such as body-in-white (BIW) and suspension. * Evaluation of mesh quality and consistency of properties and connections (e.g., rigid elements, bushings, and weld points). * Generation of acoustic cavities respecting measurement points at specified locations. * Integration of subsystems and model assembly (BIW, TBIW, and Full Vehicle). * Structure-fluid coupling. * Integration between Body and Powertrain. Analyses: * Modal analysis * FRFs (Frequency Response Functions) * Dynamic stiffness * Acoustic response (Interior Noise) * Powertrain Noise * Road noise * Direct response * Primary solver: Nastran (SOL101, SOL103, SOL108, and SOL111\) Post-processing: * Identification of global modes in BIW and TBIW models. * Interpretation of FRFs and transfer functions. * Evaluation of sound pressure levels (Pa, dB, and dB(A)). * Analysis of results under various conditions, especially powertrain noise (e.g., WOT and IDLE). * Identification of transfer paths (TPA). NVH Skills: * Proposing structural improvements to reduce vibration and noise. * CAE-test correlation. * Preparation and presentation of reports. * Root cause investigation of peaks. **Qualifications** Engineering degree (Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or related fields) * Minimum 3 years of CAE experience focused on vehicle safety (Safety) * Solid knowledge of the Finite Element Method (FEM), material modeling, contact definitions, and nonlinearity * Experience in pre-processing using tools such as ANSA (preferred) or HyperMesh * Experience in post-processing tools such as META (preferred) or HyperView * Experience in Safety simulations: Crash, Pedestrian Protection, Occupant Protection, Rollover, Pendulum, etc. * Ability to interpret results (energy, acceleration, deformations) * Analytical, organized profile with strong problem-solving orientation * Advanced or fluent English Differentiators: * Experience with other solvers (e.g., Abaqus, Nastran) * Experience with CAE-physical test correlation * Programming/scripting (Python, TCL) * Familiarity with HPC environments (cluster or cloud) * Spanish **Additional Information** Work model (on-site, hybrid, or remote) to be agreed upon. Applus IDIADA is committed to **equality,** **diversity** and **inclusion**. We don’t put limits on you, so don’t put limits on yourself either. There is a place for everyone.
