Job Summary: Responsible for designing, planning, installing, configuring, and administering computer networks; monitoring performance; programming security; and coordinating IT projects. Key Highlights: 1. Responsible for the administration and security of computer networks. 2. Design, plan, and install network solutions. 3. Technical support, training, and system documentation. Responsible for designing, planning, installing, configuring, and administering computer networks—sizing system requirements, specifying architecture, selecting development tools, specifying programs, and coding applications. Monitors and evaluates network performance; programs and configures network security policies and procedures; and provides support to network users. Coordinates projects and delivers solutions for computerized environments; provides technical support and user training; establishes standards; prepares technical documentation; researches information technology; guides support departments; engages third-party support; installs and configures software and hardware; sizes system requirements and functionality; defines physical implementation alternatives; specifies system architecture; builds system prototypes; tests systems; monitors system performance; identifies system failures; executes procedures to improve system performance; develops data dictionaries, system manuals, and technical reports; documents network structure; administers internal and external resources; tracks project execution; evaluates quality of deliverables; and performs other related tasks.
