Job Summary: Ensure the physical safety of people and equipment at the airport, prevent illicit activities, and maintain order through surveillance and incident response. Key Highlights: 1. Promote airport security and the physical safety of passengers. 2. Handle airport incidents and conduct police communications. 3. Guide the airport community on credentialing and requirements. JOB MISSION: Ensure the physical safety of people (employees, third parties, and airport users) and equipment, facilities, materials, products, and the environment against risk situations by establishing basic procedures to combat illicit activities. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Promote airport security and the physical safety of passengers and staff by conducting patrols throughout the airport premises; * Maintain order and discipline within the airport by enforcing current civil aviation legislation; * Monitor the entire airport (especially the terminal lobby, access points, boarding areas, baggage claim areas, boarding/deboarding curbsides (kerb), roadways, and airport perimeter) to detect abandoned objects/baggage, individuals exhibiting suspicious behavior, unauthorized intrusion into the airport premises, persons in socially vulnerable situations, illegal commerce, improper vehicle parking, or any other abnormality within airport responsibility areas; * Respond to airport incidents, reporting and communicating criminal incidents to police authorities whenever necessary; * Identify hazards and assess risks present in the facility or area, collaborating with the immediate supervisor to correct unsafe acts and unsafe conditions; * Guide the airport community on the credentialing process and other requirements for obtaining airport credentials and authorizations; * Periodically inspect emergency response, fire prevention, and firefighting materials and equipment; * Respond to all incidents involving passengers and/or staff within the airport premises, including terminal evacuation if required; * Monitor contractor activities by overseeing airport areas via CCTV (passenger terminal, baggage handling area, runway/takeoff and landing area, taxiways, aircraft parking and ramp areas, access control points, etc.); * Support special operations, such as cash handling during boarding and deplaning, transporting detainees, and assisting authorities and celebrities, etc.; * Guide passengers and service personnel to prevent counterflow between the Controlled Area (CA) and the Security Restricted Area (SRA); * Direct passengers to inspection modules according to instructions from the immediate supervisor; REQUIREMENTS: * Completed High School education; * Basic AVSEC certification; * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook; * Experience in airport security * ### **Benefits:** Transportation Allowance, Health Insurance Plan, Dental Insurance Plan, Life Insurance, Meal Voucher, Food Allowance, Profit Sharing (PLR), Daycare Assistance, Private Pension Plan, School Supplies Assistance (per Collective Bargaining Agreement), Wellhub (formerly Gympass), Extended Maternity Leave, Extended Paternity Leave ### **Department:** Congonhas Airport
