As a **Software Engineer** at Mercado Livre, you will design and scale innovative, secure systems that solve high-impact, real-world problems. You will work in a dynamic environment leveraging cutting-edge technology, engineering best practices, proprietary AI models, and continuous learning — all aimed at democratizing e-commerce and financial services across Latin America. Imagine\-yourself leading challenging, dynamic, and innovative projects and being **responsible for:** * Evolving an agentic assistant powered by LLMs — ensuring robustness, observability, and scalability; investigating and mitigating hallucinations; improving agent reliability, accuracy, and security. * Proposing and implementing improvements to System Prompt, RAG, and MCPs to increase response efficiency and quality. * Conducting shadowing sessions with internal users to understand workflows, pain points, opportunities, and real usage requirements; integrating and orchestrating MCPs from different business units. * Ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory best practices; measuring and monitoring quality metrics. * Collaborating on architecture and quality standard definition (e.g., writing tests, reviewing code, designing system architecture, optimizing performance). **What we’re looking for:** * Experience developing in Golang and applying engineering best practices (e.g., SOLID, Clean Code). * Knowledge of service architecture and development — including Clean Architecture, Design Patterns, microservices, asynchronous systems, and messaging. * Solid expertise in data persistence — including relational databases, NoSQL, search engines, and caching mechanisms. * Experience with observability (logs, metrics, tracing), ensuring system reliability and performing incident analysis. **Are you excited to leave your mark on Latin American technology?** Apply now and join our purpose!
