Join us in this mission! Fraud Prevention is the internal and external reference unit on all security-related topics for transactions within the Mercado Livre ecosystem. We ensure operational security for platform users by applying analytical-predictive tools, models, and innovative technologies. Imagine leading challenging, dynamic, and innovative projects, **and being responsible for:** * Fraud Rules and Models Management: Maintain, calibrate, and evolve the rules system and fraud detection models specifically for installment credit, in collaboration with Data Science and Engineering. This includes developing new variables and heuristics, reducing false positives, and maximizing healthy approval rates. * Alignment with Business Strategy and Executive Reporting: Maintain close coordination with the Strategy team, regularly presenting results to senior leadership (e.g., losses avoided, detection rates, impact on approval and user experience), and proposing short- and medium-term roadmaps. * Operational Automation and AI (LLMs): Heavily automate fraud prevention operational processes — from triage through investigations and reporting — fully leveraging AI tools (including LLMs). Measure efficiency gains, quality improvements, and response time reductions. * Installment Credit Product Security: Work closely with the Product team to design and implement features that enhance installment credit product security, and support the launch of new features through risk assessments, preventive requirements, and ongoing monitoring. * Team Leadership and Talent Development: Manage analysts in the team by setting goals, prioritizing tasks, establishing quality standards, and promoting continuous upskilling to elevate the team’s analytical and operational maturity. * Continuous Improvement and Performance Governance: Define and track KPIs and OKRs for fraud prevention within the installment credit portfolio, conduct experiments and iterative adjustments, and ensure compliance and traceability of processes and decisions. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree completed in Engineering, Economics, Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, or related fields; * Prior experience in a similar role, plus experience in the Brazilian credit market (preferably installment credit) or banking sector (preferred). * Proven ability to solve problems using critical thinking — analyzing, defining the problem, establishing criteria and solutions, and developing an actionable work plan for follow-up and implementation. * Strong hands-on experience with SQL and/or other data exploration and analysis tools, plus proficiency in Spanish (preferred). * Regular use of AI tools to solve business tasks and optimize processes, always ensuring responsible, ethical, and secure usage.
