Description: 1\- Completed Technical Nursing Course; 2\- Minimum documented 6 (six) months’ experience as a Nursing Technician in adult Intensive Care Units of hospitals. * Perform bedside transfer of care to the patient; * Provide safe, humanized, and individualized nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse, as well as collaborate in teaching and research activities conducted by the Institution; * Provide direct patient care in accordance with Decree No. 94,406, dated June 8, 1987, which regulates the practice of such activities; * Carry out medical and nursing prescriptions and record provided care in patient records; * Document nursing interventions in the patient’s Electronic Health Record, including appropriate digital signature, per institutional directive; * Assist the registered nurse in planning, scheduling, and guiding nursing activities; * Support and implement institutional routines, with emphasis on patient safety and systematic prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections; * Complete protocols and checklists under one’s responsibility; * Report patient abnormalities and complications to the medical and nursing teams; * Participate in multidisciplinary bed rounds; * Comply with hospital regulations and operational routines of one’s unit; * Act and support the multidisciplinary team during emergency situations within the unit; * Maintain a clean and organized environment; * Deliver patient belongings to family members; or, in case of transfer, forward belongings and medications to the receiving unit, along with X-ray and CT scan reports; * Perform daily cleaning of materials and equipment in the patient’s cubicle (concurrent cleaning); * Perform terminal cleaning of equipment after discharge/death/transfer; * Record all loans of permanent unit materials in the designated logbook; * Collaborate in implementing the Patient Safety Culture throughout the institution, in line with the Ministry of Health guidelines; * Act ethically and humanely, respecting the professional Code of Ethics and institutional norms; * Report adverse events and health incidents; * Provide nursing care for patients undergoing oxygen therapy; * Prepare and administer all prescribed medications; * Perform fluid balance monitoring; * Reposition patients regularly; * Perform all hygiene and comfort measures for patients; * Ensure safe intrahospital patient transport; * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the unit and sector, reporting any non-conformities to the hygiene service; * Forward materials for sterilization; * Receive and store all unit supplies and medications in appropriate locations; * Participate in developing the Nursing Care Systematization (SAE) guidelines; * Provide nursing assistance in other hospital departments, within the scope of one’s duties, when required urgently or contingently, ensuring no patient remains unattended; * Provide supportive care during invasive procedures performed on patients under one’s responsibility; * Comply with the registered nurse’s instructions regarding work schedules and unit assignments to ensure safe patient care; * Disinfect stretchers, beds, mattresses, and other furniture used near or by the patient, both during and after use, as well as during concurrent cleaning routines, ensuring a safe and clean environment for all; * Observe ethical principles throughout the performance of one’s duties; * Participate, together with the multidisciplinary team, in continuing health education programs, standing committees, health surveillance programs, biosafety, hospital epidemiology, and accident prevention; * Support hospital coordinators on matters related to one’s area of expertise, proposing and discussing solutions to problems and irregularities, thereby contributing to action planning and continuous improvement of departmental processes; * Participate in developing and refining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), becoming familiar with them and applying them to daily practice; * Participate in, or act as facilitator for, Permanent Education initiatives, per institutional policy, within the scope of one’s responsibilities; * Safeguard materials and equipment under one’s responsibility used in performing duties, aiming to extend their useful life; * Perform tasks observing occupational safety requirements, correctly using personal protective equipment (PPE) in all activities, complying with current legislation and institutional norms; * Support one’s immediate supervisor on matters related to one’s area of expertise, proposing and discussing solutions to problems and irregularities, thereby contributing to action planning and continuous improvement of departmental processes; * Perform other related duties of equivalent complexity upon request from one’s immediate supervisor. 2512040202181243386
