Responsibilities and Duties * Design, develop, and maintain robust and secure RESTful APIs; * Model and optimize queries in relational and non-relational databases; * Implement asynchronous messaging pipelines using Kafka; * Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of applications; * Write clean, testable, and well-documented code following Clean Code and Design Patterns best practices; * Actively participate in agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-up, Planning, Review, Retrospective); * Collaborate with architects and DevOps teams to evolve infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Requirements and Qualifications Must-Have Skills * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields; * Minimum of 4 years of proven experience with Java (8+); * Proficiency in REST API development using Spring Boot or equivalent frameworks; * Advanced experience with Hibernate/JPA and data modeling; * Solid knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle); * Practical experience with Apache Kafka (topic production/consumption, schemas, KSQL); * Experience with unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers); * Familiarity with Git, version control, and pull requests. Nice-to-Have Skills * Experience with Quarkus (native compilation, reactive programming); * Knowledge of Spring Cloud, Micronaut, or Jakarta EE; * Production usage of MongoDB, Redis, or Elasticsearch; * Messaging with RabbitMQ or AWS SQS/SNS; * Observability with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or Jaeger; * Microservices architecture and patterns such as Circuit Breaker, Saga, and CQRS; * Container deployment (Docker) and orchestration with Kubernetes; * CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
