If you identify with our purpose, let’s imagine and engineer the future—together? **Responsibilities and Duties** **Summary Description:** The Planning Engineer will be responsible for leading the planning, control, and monitoring of industrial projects—preferably in **brownfield** environments—ensuring adherence to schedules, costs, scope, and technical requirements. They will strategically collaborate with multidisciplinary, contracted, and internal stakeholder teams to ensure efficient and integrated execution of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. **Detailed Description:** **1\. Planning, Scheduling, and Control** * Develop the **WBS**, **Master Schedule**, and **strategic milestones**, considering resources, sequencing, constraints, and interfaces. * Estimate required resources (personnel, equipment, services) and propose execution scenarios. * Validate, approve, and monitor contractors’ **execution schedules**. * Plan and control **physical progress** using standardized control models (S-curve, critical path, discipline-based performance, etc.). * Prepare and periodically update **Status Reports**, consolidating performance indicators, trends, and forecasts. **2\. Interface and Integration Management** * Align and integrate project activities with **maintenance shutdowns**, operations, and other involved areas. * Map interferences, work windows, and impacts across concurrent scopes. * Coordinate periodic meetings with contractors, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align deliverables. **3\. Risk Management and Decision-Making** * Conduct qualitative and quantitative project risk analyses. * Develop and monitor **mitigation plans** jointly with the project team. * Propose technical solutions and **corrective/accelerating actions** to ensure schedule compliance. **4\. Contractual Management and Deliverable Compliance** * Monitor delivery of documentation specified in **Document Lists (DLs)** by engineering firms, assessing schedule impacts. * Monitor compliance with the project’s **communication plan** and information flow. * Record and communicate schedule, scope, or productivity deviations, proposing mitigation actions. **5\. Meetings, Reporting, and Governance** * Lead planning meetings with internal and contracted teams. * Facilitate contractual monitoring meetings with action plan development. * Conduct systematic critical reviews of planning processes under their responsibility. * Support project managers and senior leadership with consolidated information and strategic analysis. **Requirements and Qualifications** **Basic Requirements:** * **Education:** Engineering degree (Production, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Mining, or related fields). * **Experience:** **Planning experience in industrial construction and projects**, preferably in brownfield projects. * **Software:** Proficiency in **Primavera P6** and/or **Microsoft Project**. * **Essential Technical Knowledge:** * Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) * Physical progress curves and control methods * Critical Path Method (CPM) * Integrated planning (engineering–procurement–construction) * Interface with maintenance and operations (turnarounds/shutdowns) * Risk management and mitigation planning * Development of dashboards, KPIs, and executive reports **You Stand Out If You Have:** * Experience with integrated planning across **Engineering–Procurement–Construction–Commissioning**. * Prior involvement in mining, metallurgy, or complex industrial plant projects. * Experience with FEL methodologies, PMBOK, or capital project management practices. * Familiarity with Power BI or data visualization tools. **Additional Information** **Position Characteristics:** * Employment Type: Regular Office (On-site) * Work Location: Jacobina/BA * Working Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM **Benefits Included in This Position:** * Health Insurance * Dental Insurance * Life Insurance * Transportation Allowance * Meal Allowance * Gympass Partnership Discounts and partnerships with numerous educational institutions * At Timenow, we believe in the power of ideas—and even more so, in the ability to turn them into reality.
