The crushing area is responsible for receiving silicon metal ingots, storing them in bays, crushing them in primary and secondary systems, packaging, and warehousing. Responsibilities:* Inspect bulk bags returned from the export process, segregating those in good condition for reuse and discarding damaged ones; * Extract silicon metal from silos using a forklift; * Collect samples of crushed silicon during packaging; * Seal, label, and secure filled bulk bags; * Store filled bulk bags in warehouses using a forklift; * Quarter silicon samples for laboratory analysis; * Remove, weigh, and label fines generated during crushing using a forklift; * Transport bulk bags to furnaces using a forklift (fines and remelting); * Feed the secondary crushing system, ensuring it is not overloaded; * Operate overhead cranes to position and tip hoppers in the secondary crushing system, making appropriate entries in existing control logs; * Perform primary crushing, ensuring crushed material is removed from the correct bay and in full integrity; ensure each bay is processed individually, with no material mixing; * Operate overhead cranes to receive ingots in the correct bays, performing proper material segregation; * Inspect incoming materials to detect potential contaminants; * Conduct all field inventory control, with proper documentation in designated forms; * Perform equipment checklists (crushing system, forklifts, etc.); * Clean crushing systems and organize workspaces at the end of shifts and on maintenance days.
