Supervision and guidance of the nursing technical team ###### **Rio de Janeiro, RJ****The company accepts applications from candidates residing in Rio de Janeiro and nearby cities** ###### **Junior/** **Trainee** ###### **To be determined** ###### **CLT employment regime** **Job Details** -------------------- **Requirements:** --------------- * Education: Completed undergraduate degree in Nursing. * Active and valid registration with COREN-RJ. * Prior experience in pediatrics is desirable. **Responsibilities:** --------------- * Complete the Basic Life Support (BLS) course according to the unit’s schedule. * Provide comprehensive patient care, contributing to the child’s and family’s adaptation to the hospital environment. * Develop and implement actions aimed at establishing a bond with the child, fostering an amicable and playful relationship to support care activities. * Follow institutional protocols and routines. * Identify and intervene in signs and symptoms of urgency/emergency. * Demonstrate initiative in decision-making when facing changes in the patient’s clinical status. * Supervise and/or perform highly complex or position-specific technical procedures, as well as supervise activities carried out by nursing technicians. * Monitor administered versus output volumes, intervening as necessary to ensure continuity of patient care. * Identify and intervene in signs and symptoms of urgency/emergency and clinical deterioration, notifying the physician whenever required. * Assume responsibility for or supervise high-complexity patients (e.g., trauma, sepsis, shock, diabetic ketoacidosis, etc.). * Interpret hemodynamic findings and perform corresponding interventions. * Conduct internal and external transports of high-complexity patients. * Assess and identify risks related to the patient’s health and treatment, mitigating them accordingly. * Identify signs of clinical deterioration in patients and implement corrective/rescue actions. * Collaborate with the on-duty physician to lead cardiopulmonary resuscitation efforts. * Guide and supervise nursing technicians’ activities through development and implementation of care plans. * Supervise procedures performed by nursing technicians. * Maintain accurate documentation and ensure seamless transfer of patient-related information across shifts. * Identify and implement educational plans for patients and their families. * Remain updated professionally and technically by participating in institutional and external training programs. * Support Continuing Education by supervising nursing technicians’ activities and intervening assertively when necessary, ensuring compliance with institutional standards, routines, and policies. * Encourage nursing technicians to use age-appropriate language tailored to pediatric patients. * Record and update, in the medical record, information regarding the patient’s health status and procedures performed, while supervising records completed by nursing technicians.
