Negotiate with suppliers and equalize proposals An engineering and construction management company is seeking a Cost Engineer in São Caetano do Sul. **Responsibilities:** Prepare civil construction and building installation budgets. Conduct quantity takeoffs based on project drawings, descriptive memoranda, and technical scopes. Analyze civil, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, HVAC, fire prevention and suppression, and other complementary discipline projects. Develop direct and indirect cost compositions, considering BDI (Basic Design Index), social charges, and labor laws. Obtain quotations from suppliers and contractors, negotiating delivery schedules and commercial terms. Equalize technical and commercial proposals. Support risk analysis, assumptions, exclusions, and commercial conditions of budgets. Prepare budget spreadsheets, technical and commercial proposals. Maintain an updated price database aligned with market practices and values. Previous experience as a Cost Engineer, Budget Analyst, Budget Planning Specialist, or Project Engineer may indicate alignment with some of the responsibilities of this position. Bachelor's degree required.
