If you share our passion for education and technology, UOL EdTech is the place for you! **Check out this opportunity and join us as \#EdTecher!** **Responsibilities and duties** * Design and maintain high-performance analytical models in the Data Warehouse (BigQuery), applying dimensional modeling techniques (Star Schema/Kimball). * Act as a protagonist in the critical transition between the Silver layer (integrated data) and the Gold layer (business-ready data products). * Develop and evolve transformation pipelines using dbt (data build tool), ensuring modular, versioned, and reusable code. * Implement Data Contracts and automated tests to ensure no dashboard breaks due to unexpected changes in the source. * Monitor data health (Freshness, Volume, Schema) and proactively resolve anomalies. * Support the AI team by providing clean and reliable datasets for model training and experiments. * Document models and metrics to empower business users, ensuring everyone speaks the same language (Single Source of Truth). **Requirements and qualifications** * Solid experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or Business Intelligence professional. * Advanced SQL proficiency — ability to write high-performance and complex queries. * Experience with dbt — hands-on experience with macros, incremental models, and technical documentation. * Experience with Cloud Data Warehouses — experience with BigQuery (preferred) or AWS solutions. * Experience with Data Architecture — knowledge of dimensional modeling and Medallion architecture. * Experience with BI Tools — familiarity with Looker, Power BI. * Experience with Version Control — proficiency in Git and Pull Request/CI\-CD processes. **Additional information** **To stand out in this position, it would be great if you also had:** * Engineering mindset — passion for automation, code quality, and documentation. * Python knowledge for data automation and scripting. * Experience with observability tools (e.g., Elementary, Monte Carlo, or Soda). * Experience with dbt Mesh or managing multiple large-scale data projects. * Knowledge of DataOps practices and governance (LGPD). * **Availability to work in a hybrid model (3 days per week) in São Paulo \- SP.** **We are a company transforming lives through education powered by technology, offering a complete ecosystem of solutions for students, educational institutions, and enterprises.** We work hard to deliver the best digital learning experience, helping remove barriers, expanding access to quality education, and leaving our legacy in the world.
