Job Summary: A professional responsible for performing rock drilling using drilling equipment, conducting checklists, maneuvers, and repairs to ensure operational safety and efficiency. Key Highlights: 1. Operate drilling equipment for rock breaking and rock support. 2. Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment. 3. Interact with the team and report activities and abnormalities. Perform rock drilling using drilling equipment for rock breaking, tunnel excavation, rock bolting, roof support drilling, and equipment installation. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Conduct pre-operational checklist, verifying the functionality of controls and electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems; rigorously test the system according to its specific characteristics and necessary precautions before commencing work, in accordance with the operation manual and safety regulations. * Navigate tunnels with limited space and equipment equipped with energized devices, water and compressed air pipelines, observing and complying with the underground mine traffic plan. * Carry out tasks as directed and prioritized by the immediate supervisor, properly wearing required uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE), adhering to standards, procedures, occupational safety & health, environmental, quality, and social responsibility requirements. * Wash drill rods and arms, lubricate components, top up oil levels, and verify tire pressure on operated equipment. * Maintain and ensure proper functioning of assigned equipment and accessories used during operations, performing minor repairs and cleaning the work area. * Collaborate with supervision and other operators in managing road surface conditions and occupational safety & health conditions across various mine areas. * Interact with other operators and exchange information regarding operated equipment and related tasks. * Report to the control room a summary of all performed activities, general status of equipment and work area, and any abnormalities, enabling appropriate corrective actions. * Conduct visual inspection of the work area, checking ventilation systems, emergency exits, communication systems, presence/occurrence of "Choco" (unstable rock blocks), faults and/or blocked holes, water and air leaks, damaged electrical cables, and other issues; promptly inform the immediate supervisor of observed irregularities. * Install equipment, routing electrical cables and hoses on opposite sides, and regulate drainage in the channel. * Operate appropriate equipment for rock drilling and breaking according to the established drilling pattern and support plan, injecting grout/resin and installing support cables, following supervisor instructions and training-based standards. * Read long-hole drilling plans in accordance with surveying specifications. * Energize equipment by connecting the electrical cable plug to the power outlet. * Ensure parallelism and correct drilling angle according to rock mass variations and the specified drilling pattern. * Replace centralizer bushings, retighten bolts and nuts, hose terminals, handles, and hoses for stages I and II; retighten connections and/or hose terminals exhibiting hydraulic leaks, as needed and per received guidance and training. * Perform "Choco" sanitation operations on tunnel roofs and sidewalls using Jumbo and Bolting (Boltec and Jumbo). * Inform the assistant operator about bolting and support operations, providing relevant activity details and associated safety principles. * Perform maneuvers in confined, poorly lit, and low-visibility underground mine locations to carry out tasks defined in the equipment’s standard operating procedure manual. * Maintain equipment tooling and operational wear parts. * Perform minor mechanical repairs (e.g., replacing hydraulic hoses, bolts, guards, belts, retightening connections, etc.) as requested by the shift supervisor. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed High School Education * Experience in underground mining * Driver's License Category B * Residency in Peixoto de Azevedo, Matupá, or Guarantã do Norte, MT. **Additional Information** * Meals provided at the company * Company transportation * Life insurance * Health insurance plan * Dental insurance plan * Meal allowance * Christmas basket * Childcare assistance * Inclusion assistance * PRL (Programa de Prevenção dos Riscos Laborais) At P.A.
