Plan excavation fronts and develop teams. **Description** We seek a technically proficient **Excavation Leader**, results-oriented and with strong field presence, to oversee excavation operations at an open-pit gold mine. This professional will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and technically and geotechnically compliant execution, leading teams and contributing to the achievement of production targets. **Responsibilities and Duties** Plan daily excavation fronts based on short-term plans and operational conditions. Monitor real-time blasting, excavation, loading, and hauling operations to ensure productivity and technical compliance. Assign personnel and allocate equipment according to activity priorities and operational availability. Conduct daily team meetings to align goals, safety, and operational discipline. Monitor performance indicators (KPIs) and propose data- and analysis-driven improvements. Ensure implementation of safety, health, and environmental standards and best practices. Collaborate with Geology, Fleet, and Production departments by providing field information and technical execution support. Promote team development through operational training and reinforcement of excellence culture. **Requirements and Qualifications** Technical degree in Mining, Geology, or related fields; Solid experience in open-pit mining, preferably in gold mining; Experience managing operational teams and directly supervising excavation fronts; Proficiency in blasting, excavation, hauling, and ore quality control routines; Knowledge of geological map interpretation and mine excavation plans, fundamentals of geotechnical engineering applied to mine operations, and operational performance indicators and productivity control; Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency and integrated systems. Driver's License Category B. Willingness to travel and reside at the site when required.
