Start your journey with us today. **Title:** 2nd Officer **Location:**Offshore, BR **Job Closing Date:** 13 Nov 2025 **What will you be doing?** We are seeking a **2nd Officer of Navigation \- DPO** to join our Offshore team and support us in delivering challenging projects and services for the energy industry. **Job Mission:** Perform highly complex activities involving the correction and updating of nautical charts and publications related to navigation, inspection, maintenance, and operation of lifesaving equipment, as well as act as leader in fire-fighting, abandon-ship, and man-overboard rescue drills. \* All our positions are open to persons with disabilities and/or rehabilitated individuals\* Responsibilities and Duties **Main Responsibilities and Challenges:** * Stay informed and updated on company procedures in general, promoting continuous improvement in operational and safety activities aboard the vessel; * Carry out scheduled tasks in accordance with company procedures, policies, and values; * Identify any incidents related to unsafe behaviors and/or attitudes, conditions, processes, or other associated factors, report them to the immediate supervisor, and record or request recording using the tools available in the company’s system; * Maintain all lifesaving and fire-fighting equipment as directed by the Second Mate; * Ensure all nautical charts and publications are accurate and up to date; request replacements jointly with the Second Mate, if necessary; * Navigation Officer: Act as Dynamic Positioning Operator during Dynamic Positioning operations; * Serve as Officer of the Watch on the bridge during navigation or as Deck Officer of the Watch while the vessel is in port; * General bridge and deck routines; * Responsible for the watch during conventional watches; * Assist the Administrative Officer as required, including conducting safety inductions for newly arrived personnel prior to boarding; * While in port, assist the Ship Security and Protection Officer with security preparations. **What experience would we like you to have?** * 2nd Officer of Navigation II/1; * Full DP Certification; * Experience as 2nd Officer of Navigation on Offshore vessels with DP II classification is desirable; * Advanced English; * Valid maritime certification. **An environment where you can thrive** We recognise that having a diverse team makes us a better, smarter team.
