**Job Summary:** The Service Engineer provides qualified technical support to the customer's installed base, achieving customer satisfaction through the execution of services and contracts according to defined scope and budget. **In this role, your responsibilities will include:** 1\) Advising on the development and implementation of corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance programs, as well as providing technical assistance for interventions on Emerson Machine Automation Solutions systems (formerly GE Automation \& Controls); 2\) Collecting data, preparing flowcharts, diagrams, calculation reports, and studies aimed at selecting equipment, materials, executing a project, or adopting the most cost-effective solution for solving problems in existing industrial automation installations; 3\) Developing basic engineering projects containing Technical Procedures, Construction and Assembly Descriptive Reports, and Descriptive Reports for contracting Detailed Engineering Projects, complying with PETROBRAS standards; 4\) Analyzing projects and technical studies from other companies, as well as issuing Technical Assessment Reports (PATEC) for equipment and services involving Emerson equipment; 5\) Providing services for configuration, programming, and updating (e.g., software, ladder logic, hardware, firmware, etc.) of Emerson Automation Systems on PETROBRAS production facilities, including computers, data communication networks, and control and interlock devices, such as Emerson programmable logic controllers (PACSystems RX3i, Versamax, Series 9030 and 9070\); 6\) Managing, monitoring, and supporting GE Digital supervisory systems (implemented or not together with Emerson PLCs); 7\) Preparing, developing, and executing migration projects for systems using discontinued (obsolete) Emerson equipment; 8\) Performing technical audits on manufacturer equipment and applications, as well as managing and planning spare parts and inventory for Emerson Industrial Automation Systems; 9\) Commissioning new technologies for Emerson Industrial Automation systems. **Who you are:** You take consistent actions to develop new skills. You act quickly and decisively in unpredictable and rapidly changing situations. **For this role, you will need:** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Electronics, or Automation; * Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in industrial automation, including at least 2 years in oil and gas (offshore); * Ability to interpret specifications, programs, and technical drawings of automation systems; * Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite; * Desired familiarity with Emerson product portfolio, such as: PACSystems RX3i, VersaMax, QuickPanel\+, Machine Edition, etc.; * Ability to specify, support, maintain, and design architectures for industrial automation networks involving switches, firewalls, and industrial radios; * Availability to travel to visit customer sites and offices; * Availability to work onboard oil platforms under a 14x14 work schedule; * Work location: Rio de Janeiro – RJ; * Languages: Portuguese and advanced English. **Our culture and commitment to you:** At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where all employees are valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
