Laboratory Technician
Responsible for receiving, numbering, organizing, and processing mineral samples in the laboratory to support maintaining appropriate quality levels in the production process. Performs laboratory technical activities in compliance with quality, safety, occupational health, and environmental standards and procedures. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Enable quality testing of minerals extracted from the mine by receiving and preparing samples. * Prepare samples and equipment for metal fusion and analysis processes, including sample weighing and numbering, as well as verification of balance calibration. * Support control of received samples by completing a control spreadsheet with weights and numbers of received samples. * Provide samples in suitable condition for grade and quality testing by performing homogenization and metal casting, using equipment and techniques in accordance with established procedures. * Comply with quality, occupational safety, and environmental standards regarding safe and correct task execution to prevent accidents and environmental impacts. * Handle chemical solutions and reagents. * Analyze and interpret data obtained from measurements, determinations, and identifications, following adopted technical procedures under supervision. * Interpret test and assay results under guidance and forward them for report preparation when required. * Prepare laboratory equipment and instruments for use. * Maintain, clean, and preserve laboratory equipment and utensils in compliance with quality, safety, occupational health, and environmental standards. * Perform classical wet-chemical analyses. * Release of test results. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education * Relevant work experience * Knowledge of chemical laboratories for mineral analysis in gold mining operations * Driver’s license (Category B) * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite * Power BI * Residency in Peixoto de Azevedo, Matupá, or Guarantã do Norte, Mato Grosso **Additional Information** * Chartered transportation * On-site meals * Medical assistance * Dental assistance * Life insurance * Funeral assistance * Food allowance * Christmas bonus basket * Childcare assistance * PPR (Profit Sharing Plan) At P.A.
