Within this context, the work focuses on carbon offsetting — which, per IPCC recommendations, aims to remove from the atmosphere the non-avoidable portion of residual emissions. The objective of this position is to build our network and expertise in this rapidly evolving field, characterized by emerging technologies and new business models. During this assignment, your key responsibilities will be the following: 1\) Understand and expand our knowledge of the South American carbon offsetting ecosystem. 2\) Identify and analyze startup offerings present in the market. 3\) Develop Group business activities by identifying new business opportunities. 4\) Support the local team in monitoring and implementing the economic performance improvement plan for a biochar plant. This position sits within the Tech Research entity, responsible for Group innovation. This team brings together a wide diversity of profiles, skills, and backgrounds — a strength for an activity conducted at international scale and addressing scientific, technological, societal, and economic issues. After an initial on-site integration period, you may perform part of your assignment remotely. On-site and remote working time will be determined based on departmental and organizational needs, as defined with your mentor.
