




Operate rock drilling equipment to break up rock, install cables, perform long-hole upward or downward drilling for ore production, as well as drilling for roof support and ground control. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Perform pre-operational checklist, verifying functionality of controls and electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems; rigorously test the system according to its specific characteristics and required precautions before commencing work, in accordance with the operation manual and safety rules. * Move through underground tunnels with limited space and installed equipment featuring energized devices, water and compressed air pipelines, observing and complying with the mine’s underground traffic plan. * Carry out tasks in accordance with instructions and service priorities set by immediate supervisor, properly using required uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE), adhering to regulations, procedures, occupational health & safety standards, environmental requirements, quality standards, and social responsibility. * Wash drill rods and arms, lubricate components, top up oil levels, and verify tire pressure on operated equipment. * Ensure proper maintenance and functioning of equipment and accessories used during operations, performing minor repairs and cleaning the work area. * Collaborate with supervision and other operators to manage road surface conditions, as well as occupational health and safety conditions across various mine areas. * Interact with other operators and exchange information regarding operated equipment and related tasks. * Report to the control room a summary of all completed activities, general status of equipment and workplace, and any abnormalities requiring appropriate action. * Conduct visual inspection of the work area, checking ventilation systems, emergency exits, communication systems, presence/occurrence of Choco (unstable rock blocks), existence of faults and/or blocked holes, water and air leaks, damage to electrical cables, and other issues; report observed irregularities to immediate supervisor. * Install equipment, laying electrical cables and hoses on opposite sides, and ensuring proper drainage of the channel. * Operate appropriate equipment for rock drilling and breaking, in accordance with the drilling pattern and ground support plan, injecting grout/resin and installing ground support cables, following supervisors’ instructions and standards established during training. * Read long-hole drilling project drawings according to surveying specifications. * Energize equipment by connecting the electrical cable plug into the socket. * Achieve correct parallelism and drilling angle as required, adjusting for variations in rock mass conditions and the specified drilling pattern. * Replace centralizing bushings, re-tighten bolts, nuts, hose terminals, change handles, replace Stage I and II hoses, and re-tighten hose connections and/or terminals exhibiting hydraulic leaks, as necessary, per received instructions and training. * Perform Choco sanitation operations on tunnel roofs and sidewalls using Jumbo and Bolting/Telamento equipment (Boltec and Jumbo). * Inform auxiliary personnel involved in Telamento and ground support operations about relevant activity details and associated safety principles. * Perform maneuvers in confined, poorly lit, and low-visibility underground locations to carry out tasks stipulated in the equipment’s standard operating procedure manual. * Maintain equipment tooling and operational wear parts. * Carry out minor mechanical repairs (e.g., replacing hydraulic hoses, bolts, guards, belts, re-tightening connections, etc.) as requested by shift supervisor. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed High School education * Experience working in underground mines * Brazilian Driver’s License Category B (CNH B) * Residency in Peixoto de Azevedo, Matupá, or Guarantã do Norte, MT. **Additional Information** * Meals provided at company premises * Company transportation * Life insurance * Health insurance plan * Dental insurance plan * Meal allowance * Christmas basket * Childcare assistance * Inclusion assistance * Occupational Risk Prevention Program (PRL) At P.A.
