Job Summary: A professional responsible for assembling and maintaining optical equipment, conducting inspections and tests, and providing customer and internal department support, ensuring service continuity and quality. Key Highlights: 1. Assembly and maintenance of optical equipment 2. Inspection and testing to ensure proper operation 3. Customer and internal department support • Assemble components according to specifications and technical standards (marking, blocking, cutting, and fitting); • Maintain service flow in accordance with company rules; • Inspect and test instrument functionality, identifying defects and failures, and performing necessary adjustments; • Ensure preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment; • Perform cutting and assembly activities across all material types: metal, acetate, nylon, and ballgriff; • Support other company satellite locations during vacations or peak demand periods; • Ensure in-person, telephone, and email support to customers and internal departments when assigned to the role—or in the absence of the Administrative staff at the Satellite; • Perform service entry and verification when assigned to the role—or in the absence of the Administrative staff at the Satellite; • Ensure control over incoming order entries when assigned to the role—or in the absence of the Administrative staff at the Satellite; • Assist with technical analysis—cut out´s—when assigned to the role—or in the absence of the Administrative staff at the Satellite; • Assist with billing and product dispatch information when assigned to the role—or in the absence of the Administrative staff at the Satellite; • Embody HOYA’s “Clear Values”; • Commit to eliminating unsafe conditions by using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and complying with established rules (Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, and Quality), and by becoming familiar with internal policies and procedures; • Commit to the company’s mission, values, policies, and objectives by adhering to regulations, instructions, internal procedures, and the integrated management system—ensuring quality, occupational safety, environmental protection, and preventive medicine—to contribute to personnel development, process optimization, sustainable development, and improved service to internal and external customers; • Provide support and perform other related and inherent professional duties as directed and/or requested by the immediate supervisor; • Follow all company policies and procedures. **Desired Technical Knowledge and Skills:** • Microsoft Office Suite – Basic/Intermediate • Manual dexterity and hands-on work proficiency • Basic knowledge of optometry and/or optics—measurements Driven by a passion for partnership and innovation, HOYA has been supporting eye care professionals for over 75 years, enabling them to offer people the greatest gift—the gift of sight.
