Focuses on safety, quality, and superior finish Job Description: Welder-Fitter The **Welder-Fitter** at Protesystem Engenharia is the key professional in materializing our industrial projects. Their primary objective is to join metallic materials and assemble structures and piping with technical precision, ensuring leak-tightness, mechanical strength, and superior finish, always adhering to rigorous site safety protocols. Responsibilities * **Preparation and Cutting:** Cut, bevel, and adjust metallic parts using grinders, torches, or plasma equipment to prepare geometry for welding; * **Welding Execution:** Operate welding processes (e.g., Shielded Metal Arc Welding, TIG, or MIG/MAG) on piping and structures, ensuring proper penetration and fusion per technical procedures; * **Structure Assembly:** Interpret technical drawings and isometric diagrams to assemble supports, piping spools, and complex metallic structures; * **Tack Welding and Alignment:** Perform tack welding to assemble parts, ensuring alignment and leveling before final welding; * **Quality Control:** Clean slag and spatter, and conduct visual dimensional inspection of welded joints to ensure absence of discontinuities; * **Operational Safety:** Maintain welding machines, ovens, and tools; ensure work area isolation (use of screens and spark protection); * **Workstation Organization:** Keep work fronts organized and collaborate with the safety team to develop Hot Work Permits (APR). Mandatory Requirements * **Proven Experience:** Solid experience in industrial construction, piping (piping) assembly, and heavy structures; * **Technical Skill:** Proficiency in welding processes specific to the project and ability to read technical drawings/isometrics; * **Certifications:** Valid welding qualification (within validity period or eligible for bench test). Preferred Qualifications * Knowledge of welding special alloys (Stainless Steel, Carbon Alloys); * Prior experience in maintenance shutdowns at large plants or bioenergy sector industries; * Updated NR-35 (Work at Heights) and NR-33 (Confined Space) training certificates.
