Job Summary: Convoy driver responsible for driving, coordinating, and maintaining vehicles to ensure safety and efficiency in transportation and documentation. Key Highlights: 1. Coordinate convoys, ensuring routes and schedules with a focus on safety 2. Perform vehicle inspections and plan optimized routes 3. Ensure transportation safety and manage documentation * **Convoy Driving**: Drive the truck convoy, ensuring all vehicles follow established routes and schedules correctly, with emphasis on safety and efficiency during transit. * **Coordination with Other Drivers**: Collaborate with other convoy drivers to coordinate stops, traffic flow, and transportation logistics, ensuring cargo arrives safely and on time at its destination. * **Vehicle Maintenance**: Conduct periodic inspections of the truck and convoy, including checks of oil levels, fuel, tires, and other essential items to ensure proper operation during trips. * **Route Planning**: Plan the optimal route for convoy transportation, considering road conditions, potential obstacles, and safety during transit, while also optimizing delivery times. * **Transportation Safety**: Ensure all safety measures are followed during transportation—especially when handling hazardous cargo or large volumes—using required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and complying with traffic regulations. * **Transport Documentation**: Manage and maintain transport documentation, such as invoices, cargo manifests, and other legally required documents, ensuring all information is accurate and available throughout the journey. * **Communication with Support Team**: Maintain constant communication with the transportation control center or other convoy drivers, reporting any unforeseen events or situations that may affect the trip. * **Loading and Unloading**: Coordinate loading and unloading processes when necessary, collaborating with logistics teams and cargo operators to ensure efficient and safe material handling.
