Our global team is made of dreamers, doers and innovators who are Delivering POWER for a safer, brighter and more sustainable tomorrow. **Job Posting Title** Toolroom Production Control Planner**Job Description Summary** Ensure planning, scheduling, and control of toolroom production, guaranteeing timely fulfillment of internal demands (maintenance, new projects, tool adjustments, and repairs) within established cost, quality, and delivery targets—fully integrated with Production, Engineering, Procurement, and Maintenance departments.**Job Description** * Develop and maintain an updated master production plan for the toolroom, aligned with production and maintenance requirements. * Schedule and control work orders for tool manufacturing, maintenance, repair, and adjustment. * Monitor daily progress of work orders, tracking deadlines and production bottlenecks. * Conduct toolroom capacity analysis (labor, machines, and resources), proposing adjustments as needed. * Support priority-setting jointly with Production and Maintenance teams to minimize operational impact. * Generate production control reports and performance indicators (on-time delivery, setup time, machine efficiency, backlog, etc.). * Maintain continuous communication with Procurement and Warehouse departments to ensure availability of consumables, raw materials, and components. * Participate in integrated planning meetings (S&OP, maintenance and project meetings). * Support continuous improvement of toolroom processes, focusing on productivity gains, cost reduction, and lead time optimization. **Required Skills and Education** * Technical and/or undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgy, or related fields. * Prior experience in Production Control Planning (PCP), machining, toolroom operations, or industrial maintenance. * Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings. * Familiarity with tool manufacturing and maintenance processes (machining, heat treatment, metrology). * Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and production management tools. * Advanced Office suite skills (advanced Excel is preferred). **About AAM:** As a leading global Tier 1 Automotive and Mobility Supplier, AAM designs, engineers and manufactures Driveline and Metal Forming technologies to support electric, hybrid and internal combustion vehicles.
