Job Summary: This professional will manage and coordinate production operations, team activities, and maintenance to ensure sector quality and productivity. Key Highlights: 1. Coordinate daily operations and delegate tasks to the team to achieve targets 2. Monitor and optimize machine startup and performance 3. Manage maintenance, quality, and productivity of both the team and machines • Conduct daily shift-start meetings to communicate information such as: OEE results, scrap rates, internal and external quality incidents, safety and environmental incidents, organization (5S), and other relevant departmental information; delegate tasks to the work team to meet established targets. • Conduct daily absenteeism assessments and reschedule machines/activities as needed in coordination with logistics. • Perform daily rounds at the start of each shift and delegate tasks to subordinates to maintain departmental organization (5S). • Monitor machine startups to optimize production initiation. • Monitor and make decisions regarding support departments concerning machine stoppages that may impact daily production scheduling. • Coordinate with the maintenance department, when necessary, for repairs of machines, equipment, and molds; align with logistics on equipment shutdown scheduling to keep equipment and tooling in good condition for the production process. • Assign daily operational labor to scheduled machines; monitor and guide each operator regarding their production output. • Plan machine shift rotations during lunch hours. • Monitor and direct setup technicians’ work to maintain injection machine quality, productivity, and organization. • Monitor and direct machine feeders’ work to maintain injection machine productivity, quality, and organization. • Monitor completion of departmental documentation and verify actual execution of tasks described therein to ensure adherence to established process procedures. • Record production output to keep system inventory balances up to date. • Record daily scrap and purging waste. • Submit the daily production report to the Production Coordinator, detailing daily incidents, actions taken, and scheduling losses. • Schedule overtime/bank hours for the department as needed to meet production schedules, always coordinating requirements with Production Coordination and Logistics to fulfill customer delivery schedules and internal planning. • Conduct daily shift handovers, documenting information/incidents to ensure inter-shift communication and alignment.
