We are looking for a **Embedded Software Engineer** focused on **Diagnostics Requirements Definition** to work on the development of vehicle braking and stability systems (ESC). This is a crucial role at the beginning of a new project, requiring **proactivity** and solid experience in embedded systems. This is a **100% On-site** position in Betim/MG, targeting **Mid/Senior level** professionals, with urgent hiring needs. **Main Responsibilities** You will be responsible for managing and defining diagnostic requirements for embedded software in isolated vehicle components (sensors, cameras, radars), requiring low-code programming with high performance. Your duties include: * **Requirements Management:** Manage and define diagnostic requirements according to standard specifications. * **Documentation:** Describe diagnostic requirements in specific and defined documents. * **Coordination:** Coordinate diagnostic information with software developers, plant operations, and service teams. * **Technical Support:** Review supplier documentation, share it with software implementers, and provide support during various VV (Validation and Verification) testing phases. * **Post-Production:** Support plant and service teams during pre- and post-Job1 stages. * **Problem Management:** Handle problem tracking and management (e.g., Powertrain Problem Tracking System). **Requirements and Knowledge** **Education:** * Completed or near completion of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Automotive Electronics Technology, or related fields. **Essential Technical Skills:** * **Advanced English** for **participating in meetings and interviews.** * **Embedded Software:** Proven experience in **embedded software development**. * **Languages:** Knowledge of **C, C\+\+, and Python** is a plus. * **Control Systems:** Technical background in vehicle dynamics and control systems. * **Diagnostics and Communication:** * Advanced knowledge of automotive communication standards **(CAN, UDS, J1939\)** and diagnostics with ECUs. * Familiarity with Vector tools (**CANalyzer, CANape**) and ETAS (**INCA/MDA**). * **Validation:** Knowledge of **\\"hardware in the loop\\" (HIL), \\"software in the loop\\" (SIL), and \\"model in the loop\\" (MIL)**. * **Modeling:** Knowledge of Model-Based Design (MBD) and tools such as **Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow**. * **Behavioral Skills:** **Proactivity** and ability to interpret complex algorithms are essential, as the team is being formed. **️ Important Restriction** * Candidates currently working at **Stellantis** or at third-party companies providing services to the automaker cannot be considered for this opportunity. **Candidate, if you are passionate about embedded software and automotive diagnostics, and are seeking a new and challenging project in Betim, this is your chance!**
