





Considered the largest open-air museum in Latin America, Instituto Inhotim, a Botanical Garden and Museum of Contemporary Art, is seeking a **Educator** to join its team and work within the **Education and Territory Program**. Located in Brumadinho (MG) since 2006, Inhotim is a non-profit organization funded by ticket sales, events, and donations from individuals and legal entities—directly or through Brazil's Federal and State Cultural Incentive Laws. In this context, the **Education and Territory Program** develops projects aimed at diverse audiences, engaging daily with public and private education networks in Minas Gerais, universities, residents of Brumadinho, and the people who visit the museum every day. Educational actions and programs emphasize creation, experimentation, and continuous learning, encouraging youth and adult protagonism and fostering knowledge around the relationships between **contemporary art and nature**. Learning from audiences and experiencing the museum as a meeting space where different people, ideas, and cultural practices can interact are guiding principles of Inhotim’s Education Program. Recognizing the power of knowing, being, living, and acting in society guides its strategies. **Responsibilities and duties** **This person will be responsible for:** **Working on education and territory projects**: * Conducting education and audience development projects focused on engagement, participation, relationship-building, integration, inclusion, and training for the diverse audiences of Instituto Inhotim; * Planning and conducting inclusive educational visits; * Planning and delivering activities for all museum audiences; * Researching and developing mediation materials, tools, and strategies tailored to different museum audiences; * Conducting research to support education and audience development project activities. **Department processes:** * Contributing to Inhotim’s education and audience development projects to promote accessibility and democratization according to established department guidelines; * Proposing activities aligned with the scope and objectives of their project areas; * Providing leadership with data and information to monitor project progress; * Conducting research to meet identified or emerging demands during project implementation; * Carrying out visits for different institutional audiences according to department planning; * Participating in training processes as defined by department plans. **Participation in processes:** * Providing institutional accountability regarding the management of projects within their area of responsibility; * Contributing to the management and monitoring of institutional indicators. **Requirements and qualifications** **Ideal candidate profile:** * Completed undergraduate degree in Arts, Art History, Natural Sciences, Education, Museology, Philosophy, History, or related fields; * Previous experience in education/cultural mediation (museums, cultural centers, botanical gardens) is desirable; * Knowledge of or interest in art and nature, and contemporary educational issues; * Awareness of accessibility in cultural spaces; * Proficiency in a second language required; * Strong interpersonal skills. **Additional information** **About the position:** * CLT employment contract; * Health insurance, dental plan, shuttle transportation, transportation voucher, meal provision on-site, culture allowance, Wellhub membership, and life insurance; * **Availability to work weekends and holidays required.** #### **Inhotim** Inhotim is a contemporary art museum and Botanical Garden, located in Brumadinho (MG) since 2006.
