Come join our team and become a Med Member. **Responsibilities and Duties** Support readiness, emergency response, rescue and salvage operations, prevention activities, and routine tasks at the power plants within Petrobras’ Thermoelectric Park. .• Maintain emergency response materials and equipment in perfect condition, including proper hygiene and organization. * Be part of the CONTRACTOR’s Emergency Brigade and respond to emergencies occurring on the CONTRACTOR’s premises or in the surrounding area when the Unit participates in a Mutual Aid Plan (PAM – Plano de Auxílio Mútuo). * Develop and deliver training related to emergency prevention, preparedness, and response, as well as SMS-related training; train multipliers according to PETROBRAS instructions and procedures, within the service area, whenever required and requested by PETROBRAS Supervision; * Participate in training related to emergency prevention, preparedness, and response, and SMS-related training per CONTRACTOR’s guidance. * Conduct inspections of CONTRACTOR’s fire prevention and suppression equipment, chemical emergency equipment, and environmental emergency equipment. * Prepare activity planning for the measurement period and update the information systems designated by the CONTRACTOR. * Participate in the Mutual Aid Plan (PAM), where applicable, either jointly with the CONTRACTOR or independently. * Support planning, readiness, and technical rescue operations for work at height and in confined spaces. * Plan, install, and remove support equipment for critical work at height and in confined spaces, as well as perform search, rescue, and salvage operations—enabling frontline operational response; * Perform technical rescue services for personnel, using specialized labor, during process unit shutdowns; * Identify safe anchorage points to be used in rescue operations; * Plan and supervise rescue and salvage operations, and develop and deliver training per PETROBRAS instructions and procedures; * Monitor the execution of scaffolding erection and dismantling plans in industrial areas, evaluating safety conditions before authorizing use of erected structures; * Periodically inspect existing scaffolds used in routine, pre-shutdown, maintenance shutdown, and post-maintenance shutdown activities; * Inspect and monitor isolation of cargo movement areas to prevent personnel from entering the load’s radius of influence. * Ensure compliance with the Corporate Standard Procedure of the Business Area or Business Unit (RGN/UTE) for scaffolding erection and dismantling, which aims to standardize scaffolding erection and dismantling, maintenance, and safety activities—as well as the Standard for Work-at-Height Safety; * Conduct predetermined assessments and audit confined or restricted space activities, including environmental monitoring using multigas and thermal stress meters provided by the CONTRACTOR, thereby supporting the CONTRACTOR’s Occupational Safety Technician. This control must be recorded on a specific form agreed upon with the CONTRACTOR; * Execute inspection and audit plans during shutdown phases; * Inspect tools and machinery belonging to contracted companies, labeling approved items with a specific seal; * Facilitate, monitor, and conduct Daily Safety Dialogues (DDS) across various teams and work fronts; * Support, when requested, in developing and monitoring implementation of Risk Analyses (RA) for routine activities and across all phases of Maintenance Shutdowns; * Authorize work permits; * Support implementation of the deviation and incident management system for scheduled shutdowns at thermoelectric power plants, and apply knowledge dissemination and training strategies; * Respond to other PETROBRAS requests related to your scope of services as a Civil Professional Firefighter, Rescue and Salvage Specialist. **Requirements and Qualifications** The candidate must have personal transportation—or alternative private transport—to reach the worksite. Education: Technical High School Diploma in Occupational Safety Technical qualification meeting NBR 14608 requirements regarding minimum content and training hours. Biennial refresher training as stipulated in the same NBR, or more frequently if required by applicable legislation; Technical qualification as Rescue Leader per NBR 16710, meeting minimum curriculum and 32-hour training duration. Biennial refresher training as stipulated in the same NBR; Training in height and confined space rescue compliant with NR-33 and NBR 16710; Training compliant with NR-20 – Safety and Health in Flammable and Combustible Work (Advanced Level II – 32 hours) and respective periodic refresher or updating training; Training compliant with NR-33 – Confined Spaces (Authorized Worker and/or Emergency Team – 32 hours) and respective periodic refresher or updating training; Training compliant with NR-35 – Work at Height (8 hours) and respective periodic refresher or updating training; Basic NR-10 training (40 hours) and respective periodic refresher or updating training; Driver’s license Category D or higher, plus Emergency Vehicle Driver Course per Resolution 168/CONTRAN (50 hours), for operation of AB–Fire Engine, AHQ–Foam Tender (with GVWR > 45 tons), AR–Rescue Vehicle, light vehicles, tanker trucks, and other designated units.
