This involves developing data pipelines, managing databases, ensuring data quality and security, and collaborating with data scientists and analysts to provide clean and structured data for analysis. * Create, implement, and manage pipelines that process and transform raw data into usable formats. * Manage databases: Design data architectures, optimize queries, and ensure efficient data access; * Unify data from different sources into a cohesive and user\-friendly system; * Ensure data quality: Apply validation and cleansing techniques to maintain high standards of data quality; * Ensure data security and privacy: Implement security measures to protect sensitive data against unauthorized access; * Collaborate cross\-departmentally: Work closely with other teams, such as data scientists and developers, to ensure data systems support business needs; * Monitor and perform maintenance: Track data system performance, diagnose issues, and apply solutions to improve efficiency and security; * Innovate and continuously improve: Suggest and implement ongoing improvements in data processes and technologies based on industry best practices and trends.
