Where there is **progress**, Vale is. **MECHANIC II – AFFIRMATIVE POSITION FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES** Attention: It is necessary to attach your resume at the time of registration. **Would you like to learn about our opportunity?** **Job Code (Available Position):** 1091025 **Number of Openings:** 01 **Education Requirement:** High School Diploma **Location:** Congonhas, Minas Gerais, Brazil **Work Schedule:** Administrative shift from 07:30 to 16:30 **Contract Type:** Indefinite term **Application Period:** from 17/11/2025 to 23/11/2025 **Required Qualifications:** * Experience as a maintenance mechanic; * Professional mechanical course. **Job Responsibilities and Activities:** * Perform corrective, preventive maintenance and electromechanical inspection services on machines, equipment and installations, hydraulic and pneumatic components through repairs or part replacement, making adjustments, regulation and lubrication. * Assemble and disassemble portable scaffolding up to a maximum height of 4 meters. * Assist in assembling and disassembling parts and equipment. * Interpret drawings, maintenance plans, standards and work instructions, understanding component operation and their interrelationship within the system. * Perform surface treatment and painting services. * Prepare energized electrode in lifting bays at furnace reduction facilities; remove ring and coupling from shell on energized electrode with voltage of 800 volts and 23 KA; operate MIG/MAG welding and finishing with grinders. * Perform welding using shielded metal arc with coated electrodes for minor repairs. * Perform minor cutting using oxy-fuel cutting. * Operate auxiliary equipment when necessary such as: bench and portable drills, rolling machine, guillotine, bending machine, hydraulic press, sander, stamping machine, grinder, band saw, pantograph machine, polycutter, angle grinder, etc... * Operate/move when necessary: overhead crane, elevated platform, forklift, motor vehicles. * Perform preventive, corrective maintenance and inspection on automatic fire suppression systems of equipment. * Perform basic inspection services on machines and installations. * Prepare monitoring and control reports for lubrication, fuels, materials, etc. * Control contracted mechanical maintenance and vulcanization services through monitoring and supervision. * Perform vulcanization maintenance services on conveyor belts (cold and hot splices, mechanical splices and belt replacements). * Perform rubber lining services, repairs and fabrication of rubber parts. * Carry out lubrication reviews on equipment, subassemblies and/or installations. * Maintain and preserve tools required for performing activities. * Replace lubricating oils and filters. * Collect lubricant samples for analysis. * Interpret lubricant analysis results based on knowledge of types of lubricants used. * Properly control and dispose of waste generated during maintenance. * Operate/maneuver overhead cranes, forklifts, truck-mounted cranes (Munck), platforms, and other auxiliary vehicles and equipment. * Update computerized maintenance control system. * Specify and procure materials. * Perform cleaning/washing of parts and components, as well as mine plant equipment. * Keep safety documentation, applicable procedures, authorizations and training updated and compliant with the activity to be performed. * Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on tires and their elements/components, aiming to support continuity and availability of equipment production. * Perform machining activities and operate lathes, milling machines and boring machines for maintenance repairs. * Conduct load and power tests on equipment. * Lock out and/or isolate equipment/component classified as criticality level 1 or A in the local matrix that presents anomalies compromising personnel safety.
