Prepare patients for consultations, examinations, and treatments; participate in welcoming activities for individuals arriving at the Health Unit; observe, recognize, and describe signs and symptoms within the scope of their qualification; perform treatments specifically prescribed or routine, as well as other nursing activities; administer medications according to prescriptions; monitor fluid balance; perform wound dressings; conduct tests and interpret results to support diagnosis; collect specimens for laboratory tests; carry out disinfection and sterilization activities; provide hygiene and comfort care to patients and ensure their safety; maintain cleanliness and order of materials, equipment, and facilities within the Health Unit; accompany patients to outpatient consultations when necessary; instruct patients post-consultation regarding compliance with nursing, medical, and dental prescriptions; administer oxygen therapy, nebulization, enemas, and heat or cold applications; perform tasks related to vaccine storage and administration; monitor patients and contacts in cases of communicable diseases; prepare pre- and post-operative nursing care; participate in health education activities; assist the team in implementing health education programs; perform routine tasks associated with patient discharge; perform all activities as stipulated by the professional practice law governing this category, under the guidance and direction of the nursing management.
