Responsible for supervising the activities of the Physical-Chemical and Microbiology laboratories, ensuring the correct execution of tests and the reliability of results. Ensures the organization of laboratory routines, compliance with procedures, and maintenance of appropriate working conditions. Supports the technical development of the team, promotes good laboratory practices, and monitors performance indicators, contributing to achieving the quality goals of the industrial plant, always aligned with the objectives established by Fruki Bebidas. **Responsibilities and duties** * Ensure team development by conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and suggesting IDPs; * Supervise laboratory activities, supporting the team in executing routines and managing the team and its demands, schedules, vacations, overtime bank, and other requirements; * Ensure legal compliance and product specifications for items to be manufactured, guaranteeing the reliability of results issued by the laboratory; * Prepare budget proposals for approval by coordination, control execution according to budget, to ensure proper cost and expense management of the department; * Support supplier qualification, manage performance indicators, propose process improvements, and monitor results; * Ensure compliance with the laboratory sampling plan, develop management reports, conduct departmental meetings; * Support the Quality Assurance department in audits, certifications, and customer audits; * Establish goal deployment and performance agreements for Leaders and Analysts, monitor compliance and actions to improve results; * Perform other activities within your area of expertise. **Requirements and qualifications** * Bachelor's degree completed in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry or related fields; * Postgraduate degree or specialization in Food Quality Control/Food Technology; * Experience in people management, environmental management, food safety, good laboratory practices, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and budget management; * Quality tools (PDCA, SWOT matrix, 5 Whys, root cause analysis, Pareto diagram, checklists); * Desirable ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and FSSC 22000 certification; * Office suite proficiency. Availability to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1 hour and 15 minutes lunch break.
