Focus on patient safety and compliance with sanitary regulations. **Position: Infection Control Nurse – CCIH (Hospital Infection Control Committee)** **Description** We are seeking a Nurse to join our Hospital Infection Control Committee (CCIH). The professional will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring infection prevention and control activities related to healthcare delivery, ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and visitors in compliance with current sanitary regulations. **Responsibilities** Conduct epidemiological surveillance of healthcare-associated infections, including active monitoring and indicator analysis. Develop, review, and implement manuals, protocols, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), including hand hygiene guidelines, precautions, and isolation procedures. Supervise rational antimicrobial use, monitor prescriptions, and contribute to strategies preventing bacterial resistance. Conduct periodic training and capacity-building sessions for healthcare and support teams to promote infection prevention and control. Perform audits and process monitoring related to hospital hygiene, material sterilization (CME), water and air quality control, among others. Prepare technical reports, analyze statistical data, and propose action plans for continuous process improvement. **Requirements** Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and active registration with COREN. Experience in the hospital setting, preferably in CCIH or infection control. Knowledge of epidemiological surveillance, prevention protocols, and ANVISA regulations. Analytical skills, organizational ability, and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, ethical conduct, and ability to guide and train teams.
