Wash, cut, and portion food items. Support meal assembly according to specific dietary requirements. Follow nutritionists' instructions regarding elderly residents' diets. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, utensils, and equipment. Monitor food storage conditions and expiration dates. Assist with meal distribution when required. Ensure hygiene and food safety. Exercise special care to accommodate elderly residents' dietary and health restrictions. Previous experience as a Kitchen Helper, Kitchen Assistant, Culinary Assistant, or Food Preparer may indicate suitability for some duties of this position. High school diploma required.
