Job Summary: Medical billing analyst responsible for auditing, reconciling, and processing hospital billing to ensure compliance and efficiency. Key Highlights: 1. The organization offers a unique service profile in Brazil, distributed across 21 centers providing assistance to low-income populations in the areas of Health, Social Assistance, Scientific Research, Health Education, Education, and preservation and dissemination of the history of its founder, Saint Dulce of the Poor. **Responsibilities and Duties** 1\. Analyze medical bills, including hospitalization processes, medical diagnoses, exams and procedures performed, verification of materials and medications, and appeal of claim denials, to identify possible irregularities or nonconformities and implement corrective actions; 2\. Reconcile procedure compatibility with OPM (Outpatient Procedure Manual), requested vs. performed procedures, Pharmacy; SADT (Diagnostic and Therapeutic Support Services); CO/CC Units; Emergency Department / Emergency Room; Outpatient Clinic; SND (Nutrition and Dietetics Service); Finance and costs; Administration; SUS/Contracting; Statistics; 3\. Register hospital discharge, procedure changes, and special procedures by entering data into the state health department’s system, generating hospital admission authorization for billing purposes. 4\. Audit patient medical records—either physical or electronic—to identify potential charges associated with treatment, enter data into the system for closing hospital accounts, and attach invoices to the process. 5\. Register issuance of hospital admission authorization, radiological exams, and medical procedures, verifying reports and medical records, checking patient name and relevant information, completing forms, and recording specific data. 6\. Monitor APAC (Authorization for Healthcare Procedures) entries in a dedicated system, prepare and finalize outpatient billing, enter data, verify registration forms, cross-check and mirror documents for submission to the State Health Department, and maintain registration and control. 7\. Analyze APAC compatibility and simultaneity according to the SUS fee schedule to support billing control and facilitate billing closure. 8\. Perform monthly opening and closing of each SIA (Ambulatory Information System) and SIH (Hospital Information System) (BPA)/APAC/SISCAN/CIHA/AIH billing cycle and generate files for verification. 9\. Prepare billing documentation, verify administrative discharges, request relevant documents, review data, and bill procedures accordingly. 10\. Process information related to medical procedures and submit it to service providers for data analysis. 11\. Organize and maintain files, classify documents alphabetically to facilitate consultations and information retrieval, verify pending items, extension of hospital stay periods, and receipt of various documents; 12\.
