Job Summary: A hospital cleaning professional responsible for cleaning and disinfecting environments, surfaces, and equipment to ensure biosafety and organization. Key Highlights: 1. Cleaning and disinfection of hospital environments, including critical areas. 2. Ensuring proper use of cleaning materials and equipment. 3. Participation in training sessions and correct use of PPE for biosafety. Perform cleaning and disinfection of internal and external areas of the hospital unit according to institutional protocols. Clean and disinfect surfaces, furniture, and hospital equipment—especially in critical, semi-critical, and non-critical areas. Carry out disinfection of areas and surfaces contaminated with organic matter (blood, feces, urine, vomit), using appropriate products and techniques. Ensure order, maintenance, and proper use of cleaning materials, equipment, and resources. Restock and maintain dispensers for paper towels, toilet paper, liquid soap, foam alcohol, and other hygiene items across hospital areas. Request materials and supplies from the area supervisor when necessary. Remove waste from units, replace garbage bags, and keep trash bins and containers clean and covered. Record all performed activities according to the institution’s prescribed forms and routines. Conduct daily inspections of assigned sectors to identify specific priorities and environmental needs. Promptly report any anomalies, losses, damages, irregularities, or difficulties in performing tasks to leadership. Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly, in accordance with guidelines from the Hospital Infection Control Service (SCIH) and the Occupational Safety and Medicine Service (SESMT). Strictly adhere to hand hygiene practices before, during, and after performing tasks. Participate in training sessions, capacity-building activities, and technical meetings scheduled by the institution. Report daily to the workplace properly dressed in uniform, wearing a visible ID badge, and maintaining professional conduct. Perform administrative or support tasks related to the Cleaning Department when requested. Completed medical education.
