We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to work on the development and evolution of scalable products and platforms, with a focus on modern architecture, performance, and security. This position requires deep technical expertise in backend programming languages—especially Node.js—as well as proven experience with microservices, REST APIs, WebSocket, and high-availability practices. The professional will be responsible for developing robust and sustainable solutions, contributing to the company’s continuous evolution of engineering standards. **Responsibilities** * Develop and maintain scalable services and APIs using Node.js and other modern programming languages. * Ensure quality, performance, and security in backend application development; * Collaborate with Tech Leads and Specialists in defining and implementing microservice-based architectures and integration patterns; * Implement best development practices (clean code, code reviews); * Work with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis); * Integrate and consume external services and APIs, ensuring transaction security and reliability; * Contribute to CI/CD pipeline design, ensuring high-quality continuous integration and delivery; * Support production system monitoring and optimization, collaborating with SREs and Infrastructure teams; * Identify and resolve incidents related to performance and availability. **Mandatory Requirements** * Completed undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields; * 8–10 years of software development experience, with solid backend expertise; * Proficiency in Node.js and substantial experience with REST APIs, WebSocket, and event-driven development; * Experience with microservice architecture and integration across complex systems; * Hands-on experience with Git, version control, and structured code review; * Knowledge of server and API security practices (authentication, authorization, encryption, OWASP); * Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes); * Intermediate to advanced English (technical reading and writing). **Nice-to-Have** * Additional training in specialized backend development or game systems courses will be considered a plus; * Prior experience in high-scale product domains—iGaming, E-commerce, Banking; * Familiarity with the Colyseus framework for multiplayer applications and real-time communication.
