Assist in quality control and steel inventory management Position: Construction Assistant \- Rebar Shop **Job Description** We are seeking a **Construction Assistant** to support the rebar shop leadership in planning, monitoring, and controlling production. This professional will provide direct technical and operational support, ensuring reinforcement fabrication complies with design specifications, with emphasis on quality, safety, and adherence to deadlines. **Main Responsibilities** * Support daily production monitoring at the rebar shop, ensuring compliance with project specifications, internal procedures, and established deadlines; * Perform reading and interpretation of reinforcement drawings (plans, sections, and details), supporting correct field execution; * Assist in quality control of reinforcements, identifying non-conformities and supporting corrective actions; * Contribute to steel and material inventory control by recording consumption data and assisting with replenishment requests; * Support the integration and practical orientation of new employees, reinforcing quality, safety, and productivity standards; * Collaborate with occupational safety routines, promoting proper use of PPEs and adoption of safe practices; * Assist in preparing and updating reports, production records, and internal controls using digital tools. **Requirements** * Completed or ongoing technical education in Construction, Civil Engineering, or related fields; * Prior experience in rebar shops or construction-related activities; * Basic knowledge of technical drawing reading and interpretation; * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and control spreadsheets; * Strong communication skills, organizational ability, and teamwork capacity; * Proactive profile with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail. **Preferred Qualifications** * Practical experience in rebar shops; * Familiarity with digital systems and recordkeeping; * Interest in technical development and career growth in this field.
