This professional negotiates with suppliers, monitors inventory levels, and coordinates purchases to guarantee continuous product availability, respecting the budget and agreed delivery deadlines. **Responsibilities and duties** * Purchase products for resale in supermarket stores, such as food, beverages, cleaning products, and household items, among others, always aligning sales demand with the company’s commercial strategies. * Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery deadlines, and commercial conditions with suppliers, consistently seeking to optimize cost\-benefit and secure the best conditions for the company. * Monitor inventory levels and product turnover, placing replenishment orders as needed to avoid both stockouts and overstocking of slow-moving items. * Analyze sales trends and customer consumption patterns to adjust purchasing decisions and ensure that high-demand products are always available on shelves. * Organize and manage product categories, ensuring the store offers a balanced and attractive assortment aligned with consumer needs and marketing strategies. * Anticipate seasonal purchasing needs, such as products for holidays (Christmas, Easter, etc.), promotions, and special campaigns, guaranteeing adequate availability of these items. * Oversee product receipt, ensuring compliance with required quality standards and adherence to agreed delivery timelines with suppliers. * Manage the purchasing budget, analyzing and controlling product acquisition costs, continually seeking alternatives to reduce expenses without compromising the quality of purchased items. * Monitor competitors and market changes, identifying new product or supplier opportunities that could add value to the supermarket’s assortment. * Ensure all purchasing-related documentation (purchase orders, quotations, contracts, invoices) is properly organized and complies with internal company policies and fiscal requirements. * Safeguard, maintain, clean, and secure work-specific equipment, instruments, tools, and premises.· Carry out the activities stipulated for the position, in alignment with the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Values. * Comply with the company’s occupational safety regulations, using required PPE (personal protective equipment) and collective protective equipment, safeguarding one’s own physical integrity and that of all colleagues. **Requirements and qualifications** Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, or related fields; Solid experience in procurement/supply chain; Experience with quotations, contracts, and purchase orders; Strong analytical ability and organizational skills; Negotiation-oriented and communicative profile.
