With a team of **300 physicians and 1,400 staff members**, it operates based on core values: **Excellence, Integrity, Transparency, Sustainability, and Collaboration.** It serves as a center of excellence in **Oncology (pediatric and adult), Nephrology, Women's Health, and Cleft Lip and Palate**, and ranks as the **2nd best orthopedic hospital in Minas Gerais.** With support from donors and partners, it continues expanding services, modernizing infrastructure, and investing in technology and staff training—all guided by its mission to **provide dignified, respectful care for life.** **Your Challenges with Us:** * Provide speech-language pathology services to patients with potential speech-language needs upon interconsultation request. * Conduct speech-language triage for patients receiving alternative feeding routes. * Assess, treat, and manage patients with oral, vocal, and language disorders to develop individualized, effective therapeutic plans aligned with their specific needs. * Collaborate with medical and multidisciplinary teams in managing tracheostomy cannulas, adjusting oral diet consistency, minimizing risks of bronchoaspiration, supporting appropriate clinical decision-making per patient, and preventing respiratory and clinical complications. * Assist in nasoenteric tube placement using facilitative maneuvers to improve procedural quality and patient comfort. * Evaluate and determine communication options—including speaking valves, electrolarynx, and alternative communication methods—to enhance and optimize communication effectiveness. * Perform and instruct on oral hygiene procedures to reduce risk of respiratory infections and improve oral intake quality. * Educate multidisciplinary teams, family members, and patients about aspiration risks, oral care practices, and functional activities to be performed during hospitalization and after discharge. * Refer patients for outpatient follow-up post-hospitalization to ensure continuity of speech-language pathology care. * Provide outpatient services to patients and families, including triage, assessment, audiological testing, rehabilitation, and counseling. * Integrate with other interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care. * Manage and maintain therapeutic resources available to the department. * Oversee care workflow and identify patients requiring speech-language pathology intervention. * Compile monthly statistics on treated patients, maintaining daily speech-language pathology service records to support indicator development and management, as well as care alignment among the team. * Develop and participate in protocols, interdisciplinary training sessions, and meetings. * Maintain responsibility for materials and equipment under one’s supervision and used in daily work. * Perform duties while adhering to occupational safety standards and behavioral guidelines, complying with applicable legislation and internal policies. * Support immediate supervisors on matters related to one’s area of expertise, proposing and discussing solutions to issues to contribute to continuous improvement of departmental processes. * Perform other related tasks as requested by the immediate supervisor. **Requirements for This Position:** * Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. * Active registration with the Regional Council of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (CREFONO). **How You Can Stand Out:** * Experience in hospital settings. * Specialization in dysphagia or hospital-based speech-language pathology; **Location and Work Schedule:** * Saudade, Belo Horizonte. * Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM **What We Offer:** * Compensation: BRL 4,364.63 + 20% hazard allowance; * Transportation Voucher; * Hospital da Baleia Dedicated Shuttle Service; * Free Parking; * On-site Meals; * Flash Card for Food/Meals; * UNIMED Health Plan – Unifácil; * Odontoprev Dental Plan; * Partnership with Drogaria Araújo; * CREDITAS Financial Agreement; * SESC Agreement; * University Partnerships; * Exclusive Bazaar; * Birthday Day Off Hospital da Baleia values diversity and is committed to inclusion. **All positions are open to people with disabilities.** If you share our mission and wish to contribute to the health of Minas Gerais, we want you on our team! **\#movimentopelavida** Job Type: Full-time, CLT Permanent Contract Compensation: BRL 4,300.00 – BRL 4,360.00 per month Selection Question(s): * Do you hold a specialization in dysphagia or hospital-based speech-language pathology?
