MES Specialist **Category:** Digital & IT **Location:**Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, BR . **MES Specialist** Enterprise IT & Quality Montes Claros/MG - Brazil As an MES Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, integrating, and evolving medium- to high-complexity MES solutions, ensuring full alignment with production processes, regulatory requirements, and business strategic objectives. Working strategically and hands-on, you will bridge manufacturing, automation, IT, and quality in a regulated pharmaceutical environment. **Day-to-day responsibilities include:** * Design and implement robust MES architectures using Werum PAS-X, ensuring scalability, performance, and regulatory compliance. * Lead complex integrations among MES, SCADA, SAP S/4HANA, and other enterprise systems, leveraging industrial protocols (OPC UA, TCP/IP, MSI). * Develop customized solutions and advanced scripts (SQL, Java, Python, PowerShell, JSON/XML, IEC 61131-3) to meet specific operational needs. * Conduct computerized system validation (CSV) in compliance with GMP and pharmaceutical quality requirements. * Serve as the technical subject-matter expert on digital transformation projects, applying ISA-95/IEC 62264 knowledge and manufacturing best practices. * Collaborate with global multidisciplinary teams, translating business requirements into technically viable and sustainable solutions. * Ensure operational excellence through monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of MES systems. **Your new department** Our MES team ensures that our manufacturing operations are equipped with world-class digital systems. We work closely with operations, quality, and automation to deliver solutions supporting the production of life-saving medicines while maintaining the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance. **Your competencies and qualifications:** We are seeking an experienced MES Specialist with solid experience in regulated industrial environments and a passion for technical excellence. You bring: * A bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Automation, Computer Science, Production) or related fields. * Proven practical experience in manufacturing, operations, automation, and/or MES systems within a pharmaceutical or other regulated industry. * Demonstrated experience integrating MES-SCADA, SAP S/4HANA, and industrial protocols (TCP/IP, OPC UA, MSI). * Solid knowledge of ISA-95/IEC 62264, computerized system validation (CSV), GMP, and Quality Management Systems. * Advanced development and scripting capabilities: SQL, Java, Python, PowerShell, JSON/XML, IEC 61131-3, and SCADA scripting (VBScript, C#). * Advanced spoken and written English (global interaction required). * Strong problem-solving skills, systemic thinking, and results orientation in critical environments. * Excellent communication skills to engage both technical and business stakeholders. * Advanced expertise in MES systems, preferably Werum PAS-X (certification is a significant advantage). **Working at Novo Nordisk** Every day, we seek solutions to defeat serious chronic diseases.
