Optimize performance and reliability using sound engineering practices As a Backend Software Engineer at Mercado Livre, you will design and scale innovative and secure systems that solve real-world, high-impact problems. You will work in a dynamic environment leveraging cutting-edge technology, sound engineering practices, proprietary AI models, and continuous learning — all aimed at democratizing e-commerce and financial services across Latin America. The KYC as a Service team provides an ecosystem capability enabling the capture, integration, and delivery of personal identity data behind every account. Imagine yourself leading challenging, dynamic, and innovative projects and **being responsible for**: * Designing, developing, and maintaining microservices using the Go programming language. * Modeling data and integrating with relational and NoSQL databases and messaging systems. * Ensuring end-to-end observability with metrics, structured logs, and distributed tracing. * Optimizing performance and reliability by applying best practices in concurrency and resilience. * Participating in technical decisions and architectural evolution by documenting solutions and patterns. * Writing tests (unit, integration, and contract), conducting code reviews, and supporting incident resolution. What are we looking for in you? * Experience working with microservice environments and distributed systems. * Knowledge of general system architecture and REST API development. * Experience with Java or Golang for backend development. * Experience with relational and NoSQL databases. * Familiarity with messaging services for system integration. * Experience operating in high-performance, scalable, and high-data-volume environments.
