Ensuring compliance with Brazilian Regulatory Standards (NRs) and developing safety plans. SMS Coordinator Position Description We are seeking a professional to assume the role of SMS Coordinator. The professional will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of safety, environmental, and occupational health standards in the company's activities. **Responsibilities** * Coordinate the work of Occupational Safety Technicians on construction sites, including **guidance, monitoring, and follow-up on reports**; * Conduct **periodic training sessions** with teams to develop technical and behavioral competencies, promote leadership, and reinforce good safety practices; * **Plan and assign tasks**, defining strategies and team assignments together with Occupational Safety Technicians (OSTs), aiming to increase productivity and meet targets; * Allocate personnel among construction sites according to operational demand; * Coordinate the work of the **Occupational Safety Technical Assistant**; * Identify and resolve **operational safety-related issues**; * **Monitor and authorize high-risk activities** in construction, renovation, and retrofit projects within the fields of **metalworking, electrical, plumbing, and civil engineering**; * Conduct **safety inspections**, identify hazards, propose corrective actions, and guide teams; * Ensure compliance with **NR-01, NR-06, NR-07, NR-10, NR-12, NR-18, NR-33, and NR-35**; * Deliver **operational and safety training**; * Collaborate closely with **construction site coordination and client supervision**; * Support **budgeting, organization, and planning** for the procurement of SMS-specific equipment and/or services; * Conduct **technical visits** for new budget estimates and construction projects; * Plan **safety initiatives and campaigns**; * Monitor appropriate use of **PPE and collective protective equipment (CPE)** for each activity; * Review and approve **purchase requests** for materials and services; * Prepare and revise **JSA (Job Safety Analysis), Work Permits (PT), Operational Procedures (PO), Risk Management Plans (PGR), Environmental Aspects and Impacts Assessment (PGAA), and other related documents**; * Support **environmental management per PGAA**, including proper segregation and disposal of waste; * Prepare **technical reports, incident investigations**, and monitor OHS performance indicators. **Skills** * Ability to work under pressure; * **Leadership and team management**; * Organizational skills to handle multiple concurrent responsibilities; * Excellent communication and decision-making abilities; * Proficiency in **Microsoft Office Suite and email**; * Quick learning ability; * Active participation in internal meetings and client meetings; * Strict adherence to safety regulations and technical instructions. **Education and Experience** * **Bachelor’s degree in Engineering**, with **Postgraduate degree in Occupational Safety Engineering**; * Active registration with the **Regional Council of Engineering and Agronomy (CREA)**; * Proven experience in **civil construction, building maintenance, or projects involving simultaneous activities**; * Expertise in preparing **JSA (Job Safety Analysis), Work Permits (PT), Operational Procedures (PO), Risk Management Plans (PGR), and Environmental Aspects and Impacts Assessment (PGAA)**; * Preferred experience in **public works, Metro, CPTM, Motiva, or similar environments**; * **Willingness to work on-site at construction locations**. **Advantages** * Experience with **Safety and Environmental Management Systems**; * Practical experience in **confined spaces, working at heights, electrical installations, and fast-track construction projects with high pedestrian traffic**; * Up-to-date certifications such as **NR-10 and NR-35**.
